We didn’t eat at Hopper’s Store, but La Petit Chateau in Beaches Resorts Turks and Caicos was not too hard to ‘settle’ for. Dining at breakfast, the options were not the French cuisine the restaurant is so well known for, but the choices were a delicious variety satisfying everyone in the family.
Really though, we weren’t there for the food. We were there for the company! All the characters, except Big Bird, were there to dine and hang out with us. Big Bird cannot join in the festivities at the character breakfasts as the poor bird is just too tall. When possible though, he is there to greet guests out front upon arrival. As with all characters anytime at Beaches, he welcomes hugs, photos and autographs.
After hugs with Big Bird, each child received an Elmo balloon and a souvenir cup with a mini character finger puppet inside. Waiting at the children’s seats were Sesame Street coloring mats with crayons and the whole table celebrated Sesame. Balloons, banners, and dance music filled the room as characters casually walked from table to table interacting with each family.

Photo opps, hugs and antics were plenty as the characters played around and had fun with the families. It was super fun to have all the characters in one place together and it wasn’t uncommon to find them goofing around among themselves.
Once the characters made their rounds a few times and everyone had their fill, it was time to party! The music picked up and the dancing began. Boy can those characters dance! There were conga lines, break dancing, belly shaking (by Cookie Monster) and of course….
...plenty more hugs!

If you are at a Beaches Resorts and considering the Character Breakfast, do it! For only $50 (current price for a family for 4), your family gets the morning to play, dance and goof around with all the characters at Beaches (minus Big Bird but including Cookie Monster, Oscar, The Count, Zoe, Abby Cadabby, Super Grover, and Elmo) while grabbing hugs and photos to your hearts content.
