This year, Disney On Ice is bringing Princesses & Heroes to Cincinnati. “Before dreaming up this edition of Disney On Ice, we reflected on what makes Disney’s princesses and heroes so special,” said Producer Kenneth Feld. “It didn’t take long to realize that every princess had one thing in common: each embarked on an adventure to find their heart’s fondest wish, and through believing, they come true. We wanted to share that inspirational message with our audiences by celebrating the stories of these enchanting princesses and their heroic princes.”

Sneak Peek!
Last night was opening night and Disney On Ice lived up to our expectations as always! From fire breathing dragons to a fifth of the show dedicated to Frozen, it was an energetic night on the ice. One of the first scenes brought Aladdin’s Genie onto the ice. Robin Williams immediately came to mind and when his voice echoed through the arena, tears came to my eyes. It was heart tugging on different levels.
AND THEN….Frozen took the ice. The audience went wild! There was so much energy in the arena. We, and about 700 Elsas and Annas sang along. The skaters for Anna and especially, Elsa had the best roles as the crowded cheered like crazy for their performances.
So what were the highlights? Of course, Frozen rocked house! The skater playing Anna did a fantastic job at acting the role. Ariel and Eric skated together as though they have been for years. They just flowed perfectly with each other. The use of lighting and special effects is the icing on every Disney On Ice performance.

This looks like a fabulous show. I wish it was coming somewhere near us. My nephew loved it when he was little; it’s a shame his little sisters won’t get to see one.
