I’m constantly in search of ways to make “celebration foods” healthier. Fruit tends to show up often when creating healthy desserts because of it’s sweetness. In these Frozen Patriotic Desserts, the berries mixed with the Greek yogurt make it a yummy ice cream substitute. It can be eaten frozen or let thaw to an ice cream consistency and eat with a spoon. Either way, the kids will love the idea of getting their own, individual dessert!
If you have time, let the kids decorate their own desserts. Not only does it encourage creativity, they will take great pride in making it themselves. Also note, if you decorate like my little fruit monster, you will need to eat 3 berries for every 1 you decorate with 😉
