Disney!
One of the funnest parts of hosting a #DisneySide @Home Celebration was joining together with other hosts and sharing creative ways to show our #DisneySide. One of my favorite ideas was Mickey Mouse Nacho Chips by Bento For Kidlet. They were simply adorable and quickly became a “must do”. I did mine a bit different than Bento For Kidlet, but they were the inspiration for mine.
Ingredients:
Corn Tortillas
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
You will need a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter or a Mickey Head, Mickey hand and Star set (or whatever character/shape you choose).
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Using cookie cutters, cut Mickey Mouse shapes out of corn tortillas. I was able to get 3 out of each tortilla, but it was tight.
Without overlapping, lay shapes and scrapes on a foil lined pan.
Using an oil sprayer, spray both sides of cut outs and VERY LIGHTLY, toss.
Sprinkle ½ tsp sea salt over the chips.
Bake chips (Mickeys and scrapes) at 400 degrees for about 9 and a half minutes or until a dark golden. Watch them closely! They go from light, to golden to burnt pretty quickly.
Now you have your shaped nacho chips to share and the “scrapes” for yourself and family (and yes, I single-handedly ate all the scrapes before I was finished cleaning the kitchen).
Serve with salsa, guacamole, cheese or alone! ENJOY!

I have been homemade nachos before but never thought to use cookie cutters! Awesome idea.
