It’s the Leap Into Books Blog Hop Giveaway 2014 (February 28th – March 7th)! Books are essential to a child’s growth and development. Reading to and with a child at an early age promotes academic intelligence, imagination, speech, language development, intimacy with caregiver, confidence, communication skills, logical thinking and so much more. So the question isn’t “why should we read to children”, but “why shouldn’t we read to children”. Below are some of our favorites books at different developmental levels:

My grandkids all love it when I read to them. The oldest’s favorite is Go Dog Go, but I have to admit there are many from your list that are very well-read on our den bookshelves.
My favorite is The Little Prince. My two year olds is guess how much I love you & of course goodnight moon. there is a really great interactive app for apple for goodnight moon
Um, well I don’t have kids. So I’ll just answer with my favorite childhood book. I loved reading the A-Z mysteries. I remember that I was so proud when I finished all of them.
