Learning To Tell Time
With A Classroom “Sun Clock”
For The Wall
I LOVE this clock!
For years I tried to think of a way to combine a standard wall clock with actual minutes and never came up with anything I liked. And then one day, this sun clock showed up on Pinterest. It is the perfect clock for home-school or any classroom with younger students learning to tell time.
This is not my creation or image. I have searched and search but have been unable to locate the original creator. If this is your image and creation, please contact me! I want to give you credit for this simple, yet brilliant idea!
I love this idea for a clock as well, and would go great with my class theme. Do you have this template saved? If not, how did you make it?
Hi Lucy!
I don’t have template. In fact I don’t even know who the original creator was. I wish I did! I shared it because I also love it! It looks like the creator just cut orange & yellow triangles, the yellow being a bit smaller, and glued them together. Then I’m guessing the numbers were added before taping to the clock.
Send me a picture if you make one. I’d love to see and share!

Great idea for the little ones when learning clock times. Thanks for sharing.
I have also seen this done with minutes on flower petals and adding a stem, as an alternative depending on theme/colors in a room. Thanks for sharing!
