With inspiration from Pinterest (where else? 😉 ) I created some of the cutest Mickey and Minnie treat bags for our #DisneySide @Home Celebration.
Supplies:
Paper Bags/ Sacks (black or white)
Red Cardstock
Black Cardstock
¾” White Circle Labels <
Glue Dots or Adhesive Tape Runner (glue stick will also work)
Cricut Expression (optional)
Disney Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge (optional)
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge or any cartridge with a circle (optional)
Paper Trimmer or Scissors
I used white paper bags/ sacks I purchased from Hobby Lobby. Black would have been a much better choice. The packaging listed the bag size as 4.5 x 3 x 8.88”. For each bag, I used my paper trimmer to cut:
1 piece of black cardstock 4.5 x 3.5”
1 piece of red cardstock 4.5 x 5.5”
2 black circles 2.5” each (Plantin Schoolbook cartridge or by hand)
1 red bow 5” (for Minnie bags- Mickey Font cartridge or by hand)
Line the black piece up with the top and sides of the bag and glue using Glue Dots or other.
Line the red piece up with the bottom and sides of the bag and glue on. The red will overlap the black a bit.
Glue a black circle to each of the top corners of the bag.
For Mickey: Add 2 white circle stickers on the red for buttons
For Minnie: Add 3 alternating rows of stickers on the red for polka dots. Glue a red bow between the circles on the top.
If you have a Cricut, Disney Mickey Font cartridge and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges, the ears and bow will be super easy! If not, just cut them out by hand and they will still look great!!
Have fun!!
