Family Adventuring In Cave City, KY

I dream I can fly at least once a week. Every time I am asked what superpower I would choose (yes, this happens often in my house) I say to be able to fly. Maybe this is why I love zip-lining so much. I have zipped over the treetops in many places but most recently I zipped with Mammoth Cave Adventures with my husband and teenagers.

Before we hit the ropes, our guides helped us get our safety gear on. They doubled and tripled checked to make sure we would be safe. They also assured us they would break for us and make sure we didn’t hit any trees. We were ready to “fly”!

We flew over the caves, 100 feet above the ground, on five separate breath taking zips running from 330 to 990 feet. We walked over three sky bridges and climbed a staple ladder to one platform during our one hour zip-lining tour.

Horseback riding is another activity my family loves. We also went on a one hour horseback ride at Mammoth Cave Adventures. While waiting for our adventure to begin, we warmed ourselves by the fire pit and petted the horses. Once on the trail, the terrain was a little rougher than we are used to but we still enjoyed the ride and the information about the area.

The property at Mammoth Cave Adventures offers beautiful views, exciting experiences and friendly people. One of the best parts of Mammoth Cave Adventures though, may be the pricing. Zip-lining is only $59 a person and horseback riding only $25 each. Coupons and discounts can sometimes be found online making it an even better deal.
