Summer brings with it so many things, but one of our favorites is summer camp! Not only is summer camp super fun, it greatly benefits both kids and their parents. It’s a win-win all the way!
To help make the overwhelming job of finding the right summer camp for your family a bit easier, 4 The Love Of Familly is letting you know what’s out there by listing NKY camp programs and their contact information for you. Once you’ve checked out and bookmarked this list, head on over to the brand new website: Campfinder.co. Talking about a ‘win-win’, Campfinder.co is just that. It’s much more than the list we’ve complied here. They offer program information and, for many programs, registration right there on the site. You can read all about our review of Campfinder.co here.
Also be sure to keep these links for the county parks, libraries and KY Cooperative Extension Service branches handy. These programs offer nonstop activity and events year round, and especially in the summer, for kids, teens, adults and families.

Spring hill camps
We are just now at a point where I’m comfortable sending my daughter to a camp. We need to look for more in our area!

I went to m first sleep-away camp with my cousin for two weeks. It was amazing!
I have never been “away” to camp – though we did have a youth group camp for a long weekend, and I took a day basketball camp when I was in Jr high – kept me busy and I learned a lot.
My favorite part of camp was being there with out any parents! It was sleep away camp back then
THE CAMP SONGS!! I still remember many of them 🙂
Comment
I didn’t ever do day camps or sleep over camp but I have never heard of anyone having a negative experience.
Had to comment to see everyone else participating. Is there any specific tags or post I should be sharing?
Thanks
Kimberly

Campfires!
Summer camps are what just your kids need to be able to learn more about the things they really like to do.
Social interaction & smores
Thanks for the list. Don’t forget to pack some swiggies, hands-free wrist water bottles. Kids are very active at summer camp, and dehydration is even more dangerous in kids than adults. They can also be customized with your child’s name on the band.

Interesting review!
I definitely vote for martial arts camps. So many benefits in terms of health, behavior, psychology etc.

I agree!!
Children thrive when there is consistency in care between home and school. In high-quality preschools, teachers value parents as the experts on their children. Parents get daily reports on their child’s activities and regular meetings are scheduled for more in-depth conferences with staff.
It really is hard to find a good childcare services. You have to check every detail about day cares and need to be strict.
I agree!
How do you get a camp added to this list?
