As a mom, you’re already a superhero in your own right, juggling countless responsibilities with grace and determination. But what if you could channel your inner Star Wars and take your mom-powers to the next level? Enter the MOMdalorian!
Inspired by the hit Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” I created this MOMdalorian with a Grogu, aka The Child, sidekick just for fun. Including all the essentials any alien species baby would need: shifter knob, soup bowl, frogs, and lunch box filled with Baby Yoda’s Blue Space Cookies. However, the true magic was in the animated “Baby Yoda”, snuggled safely in his hover-pram styled carrier.
So, go ahead. Mash up your creativity with your inner warrior and have a blast parenting an adorable alien baby for a day. Forewarning: he’s quite the attention-getter!
To get you started, I’ve included a free MOMDALORIAN iron-on printable and Mandalorian Mythosaur Skull Symbol below.
Hoover-Pram Style Carrier
A post with printables is coming soon. Until then, I used the box from this The Child to pattern out the Hoover-Pram and then made it out of white EVA foam. This leather Mandalorian belt served as the strap.
Momdalorian Essentials Belt
The same Mandalorian belt used for the Hoover-pram strap was used as the Momdalorain essentials belt. Using black and silver spray-painted plastic toy links we had lying around, all of Grogu’s essentials were linked to the belt for easy access: Cookie box tin, frogs, shifter knob, and soup bowl.
Mythosaur Skull Nails
Mythosaur Skull symbols (<<<<double-click to open .pdf and print) were printed onto waterslide decal paper and pressed onto metallic-silver reusable nails.
Cara Dune Inspired Braid
The attempt at a Cara Dune inspired braid didn’t go as well as planned, but it happened. The black and silver cord shown was purchased at Joann, but similar is found at the linked Amazon page (also, wig glue).
MOMDALORIAN Shirt
Using a Cricut machine and attached printable, cut, print and iron on the Momdalorian cut out: Black shirt, Cricut SportFlex iron-on vinyl, Cricut Machine. Find the MOMDALORIAN printable here in .pdf and here in .jpg. “MOMDALORIAN: The Child is With Me” to be available by August 19.
